Stunning Hamptons/Queenslander-Style Home in Brisbane

Hamptons style is still as popular as ever, and here in Australia we've embraced it whole-heartedly. There are some stunning examples here in Brisbane, and I think it takes it to a whole new level when it's a Hamptons/Queenslander fusion - taking the best of both styles and merging them into the perfect mix of style and practicality. Queensland homes are at their best when they're designed to embrace our sub-tropical climate, and this home has done that beautifully. Add in lashings of white paint, an expansive deck and outdoor entertainment area, and that kitchen - perfection. I was also thrilled when the owner/designer chose my wall art prints for her gorgeous home - I couldn't think of a lovelier setting. These prints are part of my range for Designer Boys, and they're now available on my website. They come ready-framed, and these are shown in the Faux Bamboo frame in Champagne Silver - definitely a favourite of mine. Hamptons style meets Queenslander. I love the way the owners have kept the original features of the home and updated them with a fresh coat of white paint.

The kitchen is light and bright with a fantastic butler's pantry. Chippendale stools around the island add a classic touch.

Whitewashed oak floors are used throughout. I love the slight tweak to traditional subway tiles - these have an inverted bevelled edge.

The master bedroom has its own private balcony, overlooking a bushland reserve. Decorated in neutral tones, it's a soothing retreat.

I’m building a hamptons/beach home in kingscliffe and I was wondering if you could tell if I should I have white interior walls or tranquil retreat ? I’m having white washed floor boards and a white kitchen with grey cupboards only around the kitchen bench

Hello this house is just amazing!! We are currently building our first home and is very similar. I’ve gone through multiple paint colours interior and exterior. We cannot find the right one to use.
Would you happen to know the exterior paint?
Also what interior white and colour they have used for the two shades in the house please.

Hi Roxanne, not sure of the brand of the timber floors but they were beautiful oak boards. Preference flooring has a great range of oak flooring so try them. And the tiles in the ensuite are from The Tile Mob :)

Hi Holly, Elyse and Pam, not sure of the internal paint colours but it was a lovely warm white. You could try Dulux Antique White USA for similar.

I love everything about the house, we are looking for lights like the ones used in this kitchen, but I can only find ones with clear glass. Could you tell me where you were able to find these ones with white glass.

Hi Emma, it’s beautiful isn’t it? The paint colour is quarter strength Shale Grey, but I’m not sure if it’s Dulux or Taubmans. They’re both great options so I hope that helps!
