Hamptons style is still as popular as ever, and here in Australia we've embraced it whole-heartedly. There are some stunning examples here in Brisbane, and I think it takes it to a whole new level when it's a Hamptons/Queenslander fusion - taking the best of both styles and merging them into the perfect mix of style and practicality. Queensland homes are at their best when they're designed to embrace our sub-tropical climate, and this home has done that beautifully. Add in lashings of white paint, an expansive deck and outdoor entertainment area, and that kitchen - perfection. I was also thrilled when the owner/designer chose my wall art prints for her gorgeous home - I couldn't think of a lovelier setting. These prints are part of my range for Designer Boys, and they're now available on my website. They come ready-framed, and these are shown in the Faux Bamboo frame in Champagne Silver - definitely a favourite of mine. I've added all of the framed prints shown in this home at the end of the post so you can create the look yourself at home.

Hamptons style meets Queenslander. I love the way the owners have kept the original features of the home and updated them with a fresh coat of white paint.
The kitchen is light and bright with a fantastic butler's pantry. Chippendale stools around the island add a classic touch.
Whitewashed oak floors are used throughout. I love the slight tweak to traditional subway tiles - these have an inverted bevelled edge.
My blue Banana Palm prints add a tropical touch above the built-in bench seating.
The master bedroom has its own private balcony, overlooking a bushland reserve. Decorated in neutral tones, it's a soothing retreat.
...and it leads to this gorgeous ensuite and dressing room.
